Instructions for travellers and employees arriving in Finland
- If you arrive in Finland from a country with no restrictions on entry, you do not need to remain in voluntary quarantine (See: “Countries approved for travel to and from Finland”)
- If you arrive in Finland from a country with continued travel restrictions, it is recommended that you stay in voluntary quarantine for 14 days. (See: Border control and travel restrictions are enforced for other countries)
- Note that the quarantine recommendation is valid even if you have been tested for coronavirus and received a negative result. This is because the test result indicates the situation at the time of the test. A negative test result does not exclude getting infected after testing or being pre-symptomatic. Every Finnish resident and every person visiting Finland has a joint responsibility to make sure that the COVID-19 epidemic does not accelerate uncontrollably.
