A PROUD MOMENT AS IB GRADUATES DON THEIR WHITE CAPS

A moment that always brings a lump to one´s throat.

Successful graduates from 15IB gathered on 31ST August under the gaze of families, teachers and IB students to receive their Diplomas and proudly place white caps upon their heads. A full programme included virtuoso piano performances from Arseniy Vasilko and Jason Hu, a fine rendition of “when we were young” by the IB Band, as well as moving speeches by David Allen, the class tutor, and Nita Savolainen, a graduate. The Award for Academic Excellence went to Tytti Hyttinen and Benjamin Sutton and the Learner Profile Award was equally well deserved by Nita Savolainen and Saku Kähkönen. Leo Lahti gained special recognition for his fine service as a digi-tutor. The hour-long ceremony sped by, amid the click of cameras, and thereafter the mingling of parents, students and staff was just as pleasant before families headed off to continue their celebrations elsewhere. We wish the entire class of 15IB every success with  future endeavours and remember these years in Etis with fondness.
