Each year a topic is chosen and students work cooperatively in groups to research and present their findings. This year the theme chosen was “Light”, from the UN 2015 Year of Light. Our students travelled to Tallinn on Tuesday 15.03. for initial brainstorming and investigation, followed by the return trip of Audentes students to Espoo on Thursday 17.03. to prepare and make the presentations. As in previous years an interesting range of topics was investigated, including: Light intensity in Audentes classrooms, The efficiency of different light bulbs and The transmission of light through various materials. This is a great way for students not only to develop their personal cooperative skills in science, but also to learn more of their sister cities across the Gulf of Finland.
