IB Programme

In Vaasa IB school, coordinators from throughout Finland gathered in January 2012 for their annual discussion of current issues and concerns. These wide-ranging discussions covered topics as diverse as admissions policies, the TOK cruise, changes to the syllabus, the role of FIBS (representatives of the IB student body), language policy and any number of other topical points. It is heartening to see how willingly coordinators are prepared to share their expertise and assist each other in delivering the best possible programme. This year broke new ground as PYP and MYP coordinators also joined the gathering that traditionally comprises DP only. We look forward to an even larger gathering in Tampere next year.
