IB Programme

With the end of the Cambridge International programme in 2011 (predecessor to the IB Diploma) we decided to throw a party just before Christmas for the alumni from the last decade. Nearly one hundred students from across the years joined staff for an evening of music, reminiscenes and speeches. Our guest speaker was Mr Leslie Hyde, who brought the Cambridge programme to Finland all those years ago. This was a genuinely touching and warm-hearted occasion; an opportunity to see old faces and make new friends. What could have been more fitting than to hear Gavin Hardie play “Auld Lang Syne” on the bagpipes? Looking ahead, in another decade, we can organize a similar event for the IB students. This will be a pleasure indeed.
