How to apply

Etelä-Tapiolan lukio

Your gateway to academic excellence

The application process is straight-forward.

All applicants must begin by registering with www.haenyt.fi (the joint application process) between 27.2 - 16.3.2012. Please approach the administrators some weeks before if applying from outside the country. You are permitted to sequence five institutions in order of preference. If you are lucky enough to meet the requirements of your first choice institution, this is where you will go. If not, some number crunching will determine whether you get into the second choice or third, etc. Think carefully about the sequence as this is impossible to change after the deadline.

Submit our own application form, available on this website, to Etelä-Tapiolan lukio at the same time as completing the joint application above.

All applicants are expected to participate in the entrance test on Wednesday 25^th April at 13.30. No separate invitation will be issued. You will be tested in a) English b) mathematics and c) Finnish (for those who are native speakers and/or studying äidinkieli in lower secondary school). The Finnish test is waived for students of Finnish as a Second Language, and, obviously, non-speakers.

The school does not provide past papers or tips for revision. The nature of the test will vary from year to year in any case.

Applicants outside of Finland may be permitted to sit the entrance test in a Finnish Consulate or Embassy. Please contact the coordinator to discuss this option. Interim and final school reports are also required from applicants outside the country - please send these as they become available.

The final decision on admissions will become public on 14.06.2012. Candidates should confirm offers of a place as soon as possible and by 28.06.2012 at the latest.
